What is Tabata?
Tabata is a 4 minute workout that includes 8 exercises. You perform each exercise for 20 seconds, with a 10 second rest in between each exercise. Once you finish the 4 minutes, you have completed one rep! For a 16 minute intense Tabata workout, simply follow along to the video 4 times.

What if I cannot do all of the exercises in the video?
These exercises are designed so that most people can follow along, but if you are having a hard time with an exercise, just modify it! For example during the push-ups, feel free to do push-ups from your knees or even against a wall (like we would do in PE class).

Why should I try Tabata?
- Tabata is a workout that you can easily do at home when you need an exercise break, and it does not require any equipment.
- For most Tabata workouts, you will be working on cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. That means Tabata includes 3 of the 5 health-related components of fitness. Woo!
- Tabata is flexible and the exercise combinations are endless! You can do any of your favorite exercises, or learn new ones. Just remember, 20 seconds of exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest!
